This morning I taught Sunday School again. Unfortunately, Hubby was sick with his chronic cough again, so I had to teach alone. Yikes! It actually went very smoothly and the kids behaved very well.
After church, we picked up Daddy and drove up to Crouch to visit his parents. R, S, J and P were there, too. We had a yummy picnic lunch and then the kids went outside to catch bugs. They had a little plastic "bug habitat" carrier and a "bug vacuum". They had a blast. They caught some ants, beetles and a baby praying mantis. Unfortunately, once they came inside, Jubi unlatched the lid to the habitat and a beetle was set free. Oops... Hubby's mom quickly captured it and returned it to its box.
Brother-in-law got a slingshot for Father's Day and spent the afternoon slinging wads of paper around the house. Then the boys took some guns and went shooting. They took J for the first time and he was wide-eyed. He put on his earphones and Daddy was showing him how to aim at the target. Soon it was his turn. My sweet boy looked up at his daddy and said, "Daddy, will you help me not to be scared?" Daddy helped him and he did great. He even hit the target. He made his daddy proud.
The girls stayed home, watched "Mary Poppins" together and finished a Hello Kitty puzzle.
After we had our fill of food and fun, we drove home and are gearing up for the week ahead...

I love it! Guns vs. Mary Poppins; so gender specific! Hilarious.
