We went camping this past weekend to Hazard Lake, which is about one and a half hours past McCall, Idaho. We were joined by two other families, which made us a group of 6 adults and 7 kids!
It was beautiful with nice, sunny 80 degree weather during the day, but it was awfully cold at night. Poor little H, who lacks body fat, woke up crying the first night because she was so cold. So the following night, I slept in the back of our minivan with her, which helped a little.
We had a lot of fun talking and playing with friends. There was a small creek which was very shallow and perfect for little ones to splash in. The kids found several frogs, fish and even a water snake. There were also chipmunks everywhere. Those little critters decided our campsite was a great place for finding food crumbs. A couple even jumped on top of our picnic table and tried to steal crackers and a cube of butter!
When we got home, we were tired, dirty, and stinky, but had good memories to last a lifetime...
