Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! I am so incredibly blessed to have been raised by a wonderful and loving dad and then marry an amazing man to father our children.

Thank you both so much for the role models you have been in my life and in the lives of our children. I love you!

Today we went to my brother's house to celebrate Fathers Day and H's birthday with family. My brother barbequed hamburgers and we let the kids run loose in the backyard.

Then we gave H her first musical instrument.....a violin! Oh, how she was pleased! No professional lessons are in the near future, but we'll see how she does with it.

Luckily, my dad can still remember how to play it, though. It has been over 40 years since he picked up the instrument! But he easily played "Happy Birthday", "Twinkle Little Star", etc.... You know..... all the classics! :)

Thanks Dad!!

Do you miss me playing Ode to Joy in the Ann Morrison apartments? :) I would LOVE to get Alyssa a violin. How fun is that?!

Your dad played the violin???? Wow, known him for 35 years and never knew that. Looks like everyone had a great time.
